About the Role:

As a Technical Operations Manager, you will be at the helm of our Managed Services Team, ensuring seamless delivery and support of both on-premises and cloud infrastructure for our internal and external clients. This role is pivotal in maintaining the enterprise infrastructure that powers our business, collaborating with various teams to ensure our services are delivered efficiently and within SLAs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of specialist engineers in infrastructure and cloud technologies.
  • Oversee the Technical Service Desk, ensuring high service uptime and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the Managed Services Roadmap, aligning it with business goals.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative atmosphere within the Managed Services Department.
  • Drive continuous service improvement and efficiency initiatives.
  • Manage supplier relationships, purchasing, and compliance.
  • Ensure the department is always audit-ready and aligned with company policies.

What You’ll Need:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a team lead/manager role or 5 years in a senior technical position.
  • Extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, virtualisation, and Microsoft technologies.
  • Proven ability to manage resources and lead teams in high-pressure scenarios, such as Priority 1 incidents.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent extensive experience.

Desirable Skills:

  • Management qualifications or technical certifications.
  • Experience working within a DevOps environment.
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based methodologies and change management.
