Description System C is looking for a passionate Data Analyst with strong Business Intelligence (BI) expertise to help drive data-driven transformation initiatives, including two high-profile CRM and ERP deployments.
This multi-faceted role will be critical to the successful delivery of the CRM and ERP projects by ensuring that data is gathered, organized, and analysed, while also leveraging BI tools and methodologies to derive actionable insights and improve data quality ahead of migration.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic Data Team, working closely with the Data Lead and key stakeholders, to deliver against an internal systems roadmap and enhance the organization's data and BI capabilities.
Responsibilities:
The role includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data and BI requirements, including problem scoping and dashboard/report creation.
- Data analysis to identify issues and to then coordinate the implementation of corrective measures in close collaboration with different Business Units.
- Supporting the implementation of a data and BI strategy and promoting a data-driven culture across the organization.
- Assisting Business Units in extracting, cleansing, and preparing data for migration while implementing best practices for BI and data analytics.
- Performing data mapping, transformation, and data cleansing activities as required; and creating data mapping documentation.
- The provision of analysis, input and oversight to successfully deliver several key integrations and ensuring they meet business requirements.
- Supporting the implementation of Data Governance processes.
- Collaborating with external partners, vendors, and technology providers to leverage their expertise and resources to effectively deliver value from the data workstream.
- Creating data-oriented user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and developing BI-focused solutions to meet business needs.
- Working with key business stakeholders to develop data validation tests.
- Assisting with the testing and validation of data integration processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Assisting in the triage and resolution of data and BI-related issues during SIT, UAT, and data migration.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven track record of delivering complex data and BI projects on time.
- Stakeholder management at all levels of an organisation.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience working with complex datasets.
- Problem-solving experience and able to interrogate and check data autonomously.
- Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills.
- Strong time management skills to ensure effective on time delivery of tasks.
- A proven track record of querying & resolving data inaccuracies and challenges.
Essentials:
- 4+ years of proven work experience as a data analyst, BI analyst or business data analyst, Big 4 experience would be beneficial.
- An BSc or equivalent in a scientific or numerate subject, or ability to demonstrate equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Extensive experience in Data Governance and the application of Data Quality dimensions to BI and data management.
- Extensive knowledge of data lineage and metadata management practices, and strong experience of the application of Data Quality dimensions to Data Quality management.
- Broad understanding of CRM and ERP data, systems and reporting solutions would be advantageous.
- The ability to work cross-functionally with key business stakeholders.
- High level of proficiency with general toolsets including Excel (Power Queries, Pivot), Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams and SharePoint Online.
