This role is a fixed-term contract until July 2025.

System C is looking for a passionate Data Lead to drive data governance and uplift data literacy across the organisation as part of our Salesforce CRM and NetSuite ERP implementations.

This role is key to shaping and delivering our Data Strategy, supporting the development, implementation and the establishment of a framework that will deliver good data quality and sustainable data management.

The successful candidate will be part of a Project Team working cross-functionally with key stakeholders to deliver our Salesforce and NetSuite implementation programme.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The role includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Lead on the business design and development of our data infrastructure.
  • Architect and implement scalable data process flows in line with internal systems architecture design.
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards and data governance policies to maintain the accuracy, consistency, and security of our data.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for internal systems projects, including design specifications, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Identify inefficiencies and optimise data process flows to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Responsible for driving the delivery of data awareness training & education to promote a data-driven & enriched data culture.
  • Responsible for embedding good Data Governance standards into BAU activities, monitoring progress and reporting on adherence.
  • Monitoring and promoting compliance with respect to internal and external data policies and standards.
  • Establish strong knowledge-sharing practices and data quality management solutions.
  • Maintain the Data Issue & Risk Register and report to management on progress against data quality metrics.
  • Manage the Finance data & reporting ‘demand management’ process improving access controls around to data elements.
  • Provide leadership and direction to a small team of data analysts.

Skills required:

  • Experience in design and execution of data strategies.
  • Proven experience in data governance, analytics, technology adoption, and digital transformations.
  • Leadership in data literacy programs, training initiatives, and change management.
  • Proven track record of being able to deliver complex projects on time.
  • Stakeholder management at all levels of an organisation and delivering services within SLA.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience working with complex datasets.

Qualifications, Work Experience & Personal Attributes:

  • Data modelling and architecture, data-base management, data processing, data mining.
  • Excellent understanding / experience of using Data Governance and Management tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of data lineage and metadata management practices, and strong experience of the application of Data Quality dimensions to Data Quality management.
  • Broad understanding of Salesforce / NetSuite platforms.
  • Leading teams and working cross-functionally with other leaders in the business.
  • Degree level educated or equivalent in Business Management, Project Management, or any other related equivalent.
  • High level of proficiency with general toolsets including Visio, Excel (Power Queries, Pivot), Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams and SharePoint Online.
